REGISTRATION

Regular registration processes, dates and times have changed. Pre-registration is required for all programs and activities. Drop-ins are not permitted. 

 

HOW TO REGISTER

All registrations must be done online at activewestvanrec.ca, or by following links from westvancouverrec.ca.

Phone support for online registration is available at 604-925-7270. In-person registration is not available.

Should you be unable to register online, please contact us.

 

REGISTRATION DATES & TIMES

Programs will be added on an ongoing basis and registration dates will be staggered by program type and area.

Registration days will be held on Wednesdays at 8 a.m. for West Vancouver residents, and at 10 a.m. everyone is welcome to register.

Monthly Registration

Sessional registered programs will now be up to 4 weeks in length. Registration will take place on a monthly basis.
Some exceptions apply.*

  • August registration starts on July 22
  • September registration starts on Septembers 2
  • October registration starts on September 30

  • Rehab & Prehab
    September & October registration is now open.
    November & December registration opens on September 2.
  • Childminding
    September to December registration opens on September 2.

Weekly Registration

Registration for activities that were previously considered drop-ins will take place every Wednesday for programs beginning the following Monday, including:

Enhance West Van & Seniors’ Activity Centre Membership

An Enhance West Van membership is required for all programs and passes at the West Vancouver Aquatic Centre, Community Centre and Ice Arena. A current Seniors’ Activity Centre membership is required for member pricing for Seniors’ Activity Centre programs.

FitPass Memberships

FitPass holders can now re-instate their FitPass upon request and use it to register for group fitness classes and pre-registered weight room timeslots at the West Vancouver Aquatic & Community Centre and Gleneagles Community Centre.

Should you wish to have your pass re-instated, please email [email protected] or call 604-925-7270. Your pass will be extended to cover the period of time when it was not available for use.

If you prefer not to re-instate your FitPass, it will remain on hold, and no action is required. You may still register for group fitness classes and pre-registered weight room timeslots and pay the single admission fee.

REFUNDS

West Vancouver Recreation has made temporary changes to the refund policy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Online Withdrawal can be done up to 24 hours prior to class start for individual group fitness, yoga and CycleFit classes as well as fitness centre time slots. (Online withdrawal instructions)

Registered Program Refunds will be given for withdrawals requested prior to 24 hours before the start of the first class.

Pro-rated Refunds will be given for withdrawals requested after the first class and up to the end of the day of the second class for registered programs. No refunds will be given after the second class of a registered program.

Summer Camp Refunds will be given for withdrawals requested prior to 72-hours before the start of the camp.

Medical Refunds will be given if you are sick or unable to attend a program or camp for medical reasons. Please call customer service at 604-925-7270 before the start of the class so another person can take you place and a (pro-rated) refund can be issued.

Cancellation Refunds will be given for any programs cancelled by Community Services. If a class is cancelled due to inclement weather or for any other reason, someone will contact you prior to the class and a (pro-rated) refund will be issued. Please ensure that your account has a phone number you can be reached at, or call 604-925-7270 to update your contact information.

If a group fitness, yoga or CycleFit class is cancelled due to inclement weather, you will receive an email and a refund on the morning of the class. Please ensure that you have a valid email address on your account, or call 604-925-7270 to update your contact information.
