The West Vancouver Child and Family Hub is a partnership of community agencies that provide a range of integrated services including child care, and who are working collaboratively to support and promote the healthy development and well-being of families and young children in West Vancouver.

The Properties Family Hub was created to address the need for community meeting space and family programs in the British Properties. Located in a portable behind Chartwell Elementary School (1300 Chartwell Drive) this neighbourhood-based “Hub” offers a variety of programs for family members of all ages, including:

  • Preschool
  • Yoga for Adults
  • Women’s Communication Group
  • After School Kids Club
  • BC Early Years Centre

Postpartum Supportive Treatment Group

In this weekly, ongoing group, members discuss mental wellness and adjustment issues that they are experiencing prenatally, and up to one year post-natally. The group is led by a mental health therapist and a public health nurse. 

The purpose of the group is to support the emotional well-being of the mother and strengthen her ability to manage the transition into motherhood. This group is for pregnant women or mothers up to one year post-natally who are experiencing depression, anxiety and/or adjustment issues related to the perinatal period such as stress, situational changes, relationship issues, losses, etc.

The group meets* on Thursday mornings from 9:45 – 11 a.m. at the WVCC.
